Paul DuBray Performance Horses
03/31/2012, Wow, what a year and how time flies.. Since I have moved to the bay area it has been a whirlwind of change, SO many wonderful people. This year has found me able to move into a wonderful facility Walnut Creek. Leap of Faith Farms is a wonderful place to settle in and tend to business training horses. The staff is more than competent and the grounds meticulously maintained for safety and useability. During our year we have had the great fortune to win many Buckles both at home and Internationally (Canada). We have won at Finals and still managed to keep the home fires burning. I have loved every minute of my working with new and rising stars here. We have shown AQHA this year with a few barrel horses and the young pleasure horses that I had the pleasure to work with. The showring was fun this year, it has reminded me how enriching it can be to start and develop a young horse and spend hours of building the proper foundation for years to come regardless of what route he takes. I have great appreciation for those with the fortitude to withstand the rigors of the pleasure pen. I thoroughly enjoy the free moving and more cadenced work of the Hunter, as opposed to the Western Pleasure.
As we round the bend to the new year, I plan to undertake more of the performance route, Hunters, both flat and over fence work, Gymkhana, Mounted Shooting and Extreme Cowboy Race. I know it sounds like an eclectic mix, however, I have found they have great synergy with one another. I hope to make more friends along the way and gain a few more people to drag along with me. Watch here for further updates, Until then, Thanks for visiting the new site...
